Aaron Blackford. The man whose main occupation was making my blood boil had just offered himself to be my date. Right after inserting his nose in my business, calling me delusional, and calling himself my best option. See? Outrageous. Aggravating. Blood boiling. And much to my total despair, also right. Which left me with a surly and extra large dilemma in my hands. Was it worth the suffering to bring my colleague and bane of my existence as my fake boyfriend to my sister’s wedding? Or was I better off coming clean and facing the consequences of my panic induced lie?

No voy a mentir, leí este libro por el hype y porque la autora es española y estoy agradecida de haber sucumbido al hype.

He amado mucho a Aaron y a Catalina, aunque está última aveces me ponía de los nervios. Tengo que decir que la razón por la que Lina odia a Aaron me parece un poco estúpida pero lo dejé pasar pues todo lo demás es tan adorable y sexy que me dio igual.

Amo cuando el hombre lleva enamorado perdido de la protagonista una eternidad y este es el caso con Aaron, además es que la llama Catalina cuando todos la llaman Lina y yo me derrito.

También voy a añadir que me hubiese gustado tener algún que otro POV de Aaron. En sí, ahora que ha pasado algún tiempo desde que lo he leído, la historia no es nada del otro mundo pero me ha gustado mucho su dinámica, como Aaron es con ella y la relación que Lina tiene con su familia. Se ha sentido natural leer cómo interactuaban en familia y todo el libro está lleno de momentos que derriten. La verdad lo recomiendo mucho.

Este es uno de los únicos libros con la trama best friends to lovers que he amado con todo mi ser. Creo que eso se debe a que, cuando el libro empieza, no son realmente mejores amigos por cosas que han pasado y, también, por los flashbacks. Me ha gustado mucho ver los viajes que han realizado a lo largo de los años e ir viendo cómo su relación evolucionaba.

Me he identificado mucho con Poppy, su amor y pasión por el viaje y esa sensación desesperante que tiene por salir del pueblo donde nació y se crió y ver mundo han tocado una fibra sensible. Es una protagonista que he amado con todo mi ser y en la que he encontrado mucho confort y familiaridad.

Me ha encantado leer su historia pues está llena de increíbles aventuras y claros sentimientos de amor que me tenían derritiéndome. De verdad recomiendo mucho el libro, ha sido una lectura de verano perfecta.

Desde que leí From Blood and Ash de esta autora tenía ganas de leer más de ella y no me arrepiento.

Aunque este libro es más joven adulto y es bastante diferente al libro que me introdujo a la autora he de decir que lo he disfrutado mucho. Sí que es verdad que al saber que hay un spin-off y de quién trata me olía algunas cosas, también voy a decir que el final era algo predecible.

Pero de todas formas ha sido una lectura agradable y entretenida y un libro que leí en dos tres días. He disfrutado mucho los elementos de fantasía pues se centra en unas criaturas de las que no había leído mucho en otros libros y me ha gustado mucho las habilidades que Layla tiene. Además solo porque este libro tiene a Roth ya es todo lo que está bien el mundo.

La premisa promete una historia espectacular que trata temas de suma importancia pero, lamentablemente, este libro no ha cumplido con mis expectativas. El problema creo que es que al ver las opiniones de mutuals o reseñas en goodreads me creó mucho hype, pues todo el mundo amaba el libro.

Quiero aclarar que me ha gustado la revelación final, ha sido un shock y algo que me dejó sin palabras. Pero el libro me pareció muy lento y que le faltaban cosas. El final me pareció muy precipitado y decepcionante. El libro está lleno de plot twist que dan paso a lo que podría haber sido un final como ningún otro, pero siento que la autora no sabía muy bien cómo finalizar la historia y eligió el camino fácil.

Amo el mensaje que da el libro, no solo sobre el racismo sino también sobre el feminismo, y solo por eso diría que vale la pena darle una oportunidad, pero simplemente no llegó a parecerme tan asombroso como a la mayoría de la gente.
